Fix a bug which display a empty message when X-Ms-Tnef-Correlator header field is present and no winmail.dat is attached. Thank you all for your feedback!

If you already using the beta please use the build-in update function (Mail Menu -> Plug-Ins -> OMiC -> Check for updates…), else write me a line.

Leopard Mail handle *.eml files

Hidden in the list of 300+ new Mac OS X Leopard features, titled there as “Forward as Attachment”. What’s the big deal about? I like the quote: You can also drag and drop Mail messages into applications like iChat and they’ll be sent as attachments.

Do not mistake the *.eml with the *.emlx files, the last is used internal by Apple Mail.

Microsoft Entourage 2008

I have got a lot of requests of Entourage users, who want OMiC for Entourage. In fact, at the first request I kind of thought this user must be crazy. I would have bet on Microsoft Entourages support of winmail.dat files, which are sent from Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server. But it didn’t, and there is no way to develop Plug-ins for Entourage 2004.

Yesterday the Blögger (an austrian blogger) Georg Holzer wrote that a PR agency offers him access to the Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 Beta, with the site note that it’s already available in the torrent networks. This call my attention!

A first look at the dirty download and I discovered a Plug-ins folder in the Entourage application bundle. I current can’t tell you more because the dirty downloaded beta is expired. I wonder that there is no way as µISV to get access to the beta program of Microsoft Office for Mac 2008.

OMiC Version 2.0 Beta 2

This should be the last beta before the final release! The first beta version has seemed to work well, based on the feedback that I have received. By this way, thank you all for your feedback!

If you already using the beta please use the build-in update function (Mail Menu -> Plug-Ins -> OMiC -> Check for updates…), else write me a line.

Look like Leopard make it also harder to develop OMiC. To support Mac OS X 10.3 I need to start Mac OS X 10.4 and build the 10.3 version of OMiC there, copy the result back on my main development system which is running 10.5 of course. Very error prone, sadly. Thanks to the guys from #macsb which try to help me. I would use a ADC Technical Support but I not even know how describe this strange problem.
