How OMiC works:

If you read a mail with a winmail.dat attachment, you will see this attachment in the Text View of Apple Mail as usual. When this winmail.dat contains useful data, this will show up in the Attachment View.

If you only see a message.rtf in the Attachment View:

Microsoft Outlook sometimes creates winmail.dat containing only the text of the mail again as RTF. In such case, OMiC converts the text in this message.rtf file.

How uninstall OMiC:

• Quit Apple Mail
• Open with Finder at "/Library/Mail/Bundles"
• Move "OMiC.mailbundle" to Trash
• Start Apple Mail
